Writing To Stand Still

May 31, 2016 By Christina E. Pilz

The sad thing is that I had plenty of time to work on Oliver & Jack #5, but I let Real Life get in the way, and so now I’m writing to catch up so that I can stand still. After all, Oliver & Jack #6 is also due out this year, and it doesn’t deserve (in my mind) having to get squeezed out by its predecessor.

It’s not that I was lazy, but….I caught a cold. As my Dad would say, a Real Bad Cold. And while I couldn’t ignore that fact, it did turn into a Sinus Infection. Luckily, I was able to go in and tell them of My Condition, and get the medicine that I needed. Which I’m taking faithfully and also which allows me to stay up past 8 o’clock in the evening to write. So when someone asks me what I did with my Memorial Day Vacation, I can only say that I wrote my fingers to the bone on my shiny new keyboard, which has left my word count in a more more respectable state.

But the more important thing was how lovely it was to be able to type whilst looking out of a beautiful window at a lovely spring day. (And yes, that’s Sam Winchester on the cup of tea.)

Writing With Window

Here’s another pic that will better demonstrate just how blue the sky was against the puffy, white clouds.
